About CME

Overview

This Point-Of-Care education allows healthcare professions to research a topic and receive credit for that research. Editorial board, author and planner disclosures can be found here, and a general overview of the CME program can be found in video form here.

Target Audience

This activity is designed to give healthcare professionals the opportunity to research a self-identified clinical question at the point of care and then apply the knowledge into practice.

Learning Objective

To answer clinical questions with current and relevant data to improve patient care.

Accreditation and Designation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association (IPMA) and McGraw-Hill Companies. The IPMA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association designates this internet point of care activity for a maximum of 200 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Method of Participation to Earn CME/CE Credit

  1. Review disclosure statements
  2. Complete a topic search
  3. Complete the evaluation form which includes identifying the sources used to arrive at your clinical topic answer, description of how you applied what was learned to your practice and whether it resulted in a change in knowledge, competence, or performance

Credit will be issued only upon completed activity evaluation.  After submitting these forms, you will be able to print out your credit certificate.
