AB Key  Clinical  Updates  in  Occlusive  Disease:  Femoral  &  Popliteal  ArteriesAfter  a  meta-analysis  of  clinical  trial  data  showed  increased  mortality  at  3–5  years  after  treatment  with  paclitaxel-coated  devices,  the  FDA  performed  an  independent  review  and  recommends  judicious  use  of  the  devices.  Ongoing  trials,  such  as  SWEDEPAD,  are  expected  to  provide  additional  data  on  the  risks  and  benefits  of  paclitaxel  devices.
