Table  42–1  lists  the  number  of  workers  in  the  United  States  exposed  to  hazards  for  which  there  is  an  Occupational  Safety  and  Health  Administration  (OSHA)  standard;  many  others  are  exposed  to  hazards  for  which  no  standard  yet  exists.
