The most common presentation is chronic granulomatous monarthritis. An unusual syndrome, Poncet’s disease, is a reactive symmetric form of polyarthritis that affects persons with visceral or disseminated tuberculosis. No mycobacteria are found in the joints, and symptoms resolve with antituberculous therapy.
