Physical therapists generally work with individuals with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and integumentary dysfunction. In addition to direct patient care, physical therapists play a role in education, research, administration, and consultation as well as in preventive care and promoting optimal health and wellness.
