Most affected individuals are diagnosed with seminomas or nonseminomas; however, mixed germ cell tumors also occur. Intratubular germ cell neoplasia (carcinoma in situ) precedes most invasive cancers. Affected men have a good prognosis if managed according to modern treatment strategies.
