PY - 2021 T2 - Decision Making in Perioperative Medicine: Clinical Pearls AB - Perioperative stroke is a devastating complication associated with significant morbidity and mortality ranging from 20% to 60%. Approximately 50% of perioperative strokes occur within postoperative days 1–3, with a significant proportion of these occurring intraoperatively. Most perioperative strokes are ischemic, primarily embolic after cardiac and carotid surgeries, and embolic or thrombotic after noncardiac surgeries. Hemorrhagic strokes comprise only 1–4% of all perioperative strokes. SN - PB - McGraw Hill CY - New York, NY Y2 - 2024/03/28 UR - accessmedicine.mhmedical.com/content.aspx?aid=1179531470 ER -
