Tao developed a passion for medical education as a medical student. He currently edits more than 15 titles in the First Aid series. In addition, he is Founder and Chief Education Officer of USMLE-Rx for exam preparation and ScholarRx for undergraduate medical education. As a medical student, he was editor-in-chief of the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Synapse, a university newspaper with a weekly circulation of 9000. Tao earned his medical degree from UCSF in 1996 and completed his residency training in internal medicine at Yale University and fellowship training at Johns Hopkins University. Tao subsequently went on to cofound Medsn, a medical education technology venture, and served as its chief medical officer. He is currently chief of adult allergy and immunology at the University of Louisville.

Michael D. Mendoza, MD, MPH, MS, FAAFP

Mike is commissioner of public health for the Monroe County Health Department, Monroe County, NY, and associate professor in the Departments of Family Medicine, Public Health Sciences, and Nursing at the University of Rochester. His education interests include teaching residents about quality improvement, primary care practice innovation, and public health. Previously, he worked closely with medical students as a community preceptor on the South Side of Chicago. His teaching there earned him recognition as Teacher of the Year from the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians. Mike earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago, his master's degree in public health from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and his master's degree in business administration from the University of Rochester. He completed his residency training and served an additional year as chief resident in family and community medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and San Francisco General Hospital. Mike devotes his free time to his family, photography, and running.

Diana is an associate professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UCSF and the residency program director at the UCSF Family and Community Medicine Residency Program at San Francisco General Hospital. In addition to practicing primary care and hospital care with underserved populations, Diana specializes in the treatment of chronic pain and substance use disorders. She has dedicated her career to building learning environments where future leaders in Family Medicine can find their voice. In her free time, she can be found playing dress-up with her toddler and running the hills of San Francisco.

Lamercie Saint-Hilaire, MD

Lamercie is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UCSF. After graduating from the University of Central Florida, she attended Meharry Medical College where she studied social determinants of health and health policy. She trained at UCSF Family and Community Medicine Residency Program at ZSFG and served as a chief resident. She now provides primary care at Tom Waddell Urban Health Clinic and is a John A. Watson Faculty Scholar at UCSF. In addition to providing care to her amazing patients, she specializes in unconscious bias and allyship, and is dedicated to efforts around diversity and inclusion. Outside of health care, Lamercie enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and the arts.
