AB The  adrenal  medulla  secretes  catecholamines  (epinephrine,  norepinephrine,  dopamine).  The  catecholamines  help  prepare  the  body  to  deal  with  emergency  situations.  The  major  disorder  of  the  adrenal  medulla  is  pheochromocytoma,  a  neoplasm  characterized  by  excessive  catecholamine  secretion.
