AB  - Regression  is  a  normal  reaction  to  acute  physical  illness.  Physically  ill  children  become  more  dependent,  clinging,  and  demanding.  Younger  children  may  revert  to  bedwetting  and  immature  speech.  Preschool  children  may  interpret  the  illness  as  a  punishment  for  something  they  have  done.
