MARFAN SYNDROME

Prophylactic treatment of CVD can lead to a near-normal lifeexpectancy. However, with the longer life expectancy, previously infrequent serious comorbidities are now more common, eg, obstructive sleep apnea, cardiomyopathy, aneurysms and dissections of the abdominal aorta and peripheral arteries, neurologic problems related to dural ectasia, and degenerative arthritis.
