  1. Recognize the common clinical presentations of SVTs.
  2. Differentiate between regular and irregular SVTs and utilize an algorithm to distinguish among  the major causes of each.
  3. Understand the acute management of symptomatic SVTs.
  4. Understand the chronic management strategies for commonly encountered SVTs.
  5. Use evidence based guidelines to determine need for and choice of anticoagulation in patients with atrial fibrillation.
  6. Distinguish typical from atypical atrial flutter.
  7. Understand indications for cardiac consultation and electrophysiologic intervention in SVTs.

Clip Content from an Access site

Clipping allows you to browse content on the MH Medical sites that your institution is subscribed and select (or "clip") it to be added to a learning module.

To begin clipping

, select the site(s) from the following and browse for the content that you want to clip:
  • You have access to:


How to clip content from a textbook

  • Step 1: Select the scissors icon from the toolbar.
  • Step 2: Move the pointer to the chapter title, section title, paragraph, figure title or table title that you want to clip.
  • Step 3: Clip once on the applicable content.

You will then be prompted to identify which learning module the content should be added.

How to clip other types of content

Other non-textbook types of content can be clipped such as multimedia, audio files, cases, learning tools, and lectures. To clip these types of content, select the "Clip" button that appears next to item that you want clipped.
